Who is IA?
Described as a “virtual artist with a soul”, IA is a character-based singing synthesis software developed and managed by 1st PLACE, originally debuting on the VOCALOID 3 engine in 2012. Her concerts are famous for mixing the real and virtual worlds, with human dancers often accompanying her with high-energy routines for upbeat songs.
As an early pioneer of the VOCALOID scene, her voice continues to transcend language and geographical borders, with popular songs by producers such as kemu, Jin and KIRA reaching tens of millions of views respectively.
Her 2015 first solo tour, PARTY A GO-GO, was held in 12 cities worldwide-the first VOCALOID concert to accomplish this.
